Patiently waiting for their moment in shrouds and veils, the Sniper carries the gray look of a funeral with them as they go. They live in the focus between the drawing of their sights and the snapping of their shot - in Ivalice, the greatest of Viera archers drape themselves in gray, solemnly appearing from hiding to announce the fate of trespassers. In another world, with the advent of modern weaponry, military schools known as "Gardens" train sharpshooters to fight leaders, instead of wars - their uniforms are just like any others, bearing the discrete medal of the trained sniper.
The Sniper is a long-range physical attacking job that focuses on accurate attacks and enemy lock-down. On the accuracy side of things, Double Shot hedges their bets against missing while granting any added effects two opportunities to stick. As for statuses, Beso Toxico and Death Sickle can seal an enemy's fate in two different manners, cutting through well-defended target.
