Most often known as dangerous women, Dancers have waltzed their way through history with no regard for those who would question their unusual battle-steps. With their smooth movements, no Dancer stays in a bad position for long: if statuses can't persuade their enemies, the Dancer's dagger certainly can. In Vana'diel, Dancers helped their allies achieve victory on the front lines of the historical Crystal War.

The Dancer is all about making groups of enemies miserable, whether through attacking them directly, or by laying down one of the many status effects they can access.

When used on a target, Drain Samba acts as a status effect with a (6) duration. The Dancer may only have a single Drain Samba status active any given time - a second use of Drain Samba will remove the duration of the status on the previous target instantly. While the Drain Samba status is active, any successful melee weapon attack made against the target will convert 20% of the damage dealt and be restored that many HP to the attacker. Any other type of ability that deals direct damage (ie, not poison, sap or gravity effects) will convert 10% of the damage dealt into HP and be restored to the attacker.

Aspir Samba

Whenever the Dancer targets an enemy with a Weapon ability, the Dancer gains a 4/5th Defense Factor to damage taken from that same enemy until the start of the Dancer's next turn.

Reaction

Sabre Dance

Trigger: The Dancer hits an enemy with a weapon technique.

The Dancer move swiftly and delivers a follow up attack dealing weapon damage with a x0.75 Power multiplier. Sabre Dancer can only activate once per action, so in the event that the Dancer hits multiple targets with the initial weapon ability, choose one of those targets to use Sabre Dance on before rolling to hit.
